1. Payment Terms

• A 50% upfront payment is required before research can begin.

• The remaining balance is due before the delivery of the final report.

• Payments to be made via the payment link on your invoice.

2. Research Timescales

• Timescales for research will be discussed during the initial consultation.

• Research progress updates will be provided at regular intervals.

• While every effort is made to locate records, some historical documents may be missing, incomplete, or unavailable.

3. Copyright

• The copyright of all research reports, family trees, and attachments remains with Ancestry Uncovered.

• Reports and any accompanying materials are for the sole use of the client and their immediate family.

• No part of the research may be copied, reproduced, or distributed in any form without prior written permission from Ancestry Uncovered.

4. Data Protection

• Ancestry Uncovered complies with UK Data Protection laws.

• Personal data collected will be processed and stored securely in accordance with our Privacy Policy (see below).

• Ancestry Uncovered is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), Registration Number: ZB878428.

5. Cancellations and Refunds

• If a client chooses to cancel the research after the initial 50% payment, a refund will not be issued due to time already spent on research.

• In the unlikely event that research cannot proceed, Ancestry Uncovered reserves the right to offer a partial refund based on work completed.

6. Limitation of Liability

• While every effort is made to provide accurate and well-documented research, Ancestry Uncovered cannot guarantee the completeness of historical records.

• No liability will be accepted for errors in historical documents or for records that are unavailable.

7. Acceptance of Terms

By commissioning research from Ancestry Uncovered, you acknowledge that you have read and agreed to these terms.
